The Second Arabian Region Chinese Education Symposium 2025
4th August 2025, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain
To promote academic exchange and innovation in international Chinese language education, the Second Arabian Region International Chinese Education Symposium 2025 is now accepting paper submissions from scholars, researchers, and front-line Chinese language educators from universities and institutions around the world. The symposium will focus on cutting-edge topics in Chinese language education across the Arab region, with special emphasis on the challenges and opportunities in teaching Chinese to Arab students, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in language instruction, and cross-cultural communication and integration. We warmly welcome research and practice-based contributions in these fields.
I. Suggested Topics (including but not limited to):
- The current state and future trends of Chinese language education in Arab countries
- Acquisition patterns, learning challenges, and pedagogical solutions for Arab Chinese learners
- Case studies on AI technologies in international Chinese language teaching
- Innovative practices using digital tools and online platforms in Chinese language classrooms
- Integration and effectiveness of Chinese cultural content in Arabic-speaking classrooms
- Cultivating intercultural communication skills and comparative studies of Chinese–Arab cultures
- Training and development of local Chinese language teachers in the Arab region
- Chinese-Arab educational cooperation and language policy research under the Belt and Road Initiative
II. Submission Guidelines:
- Language: Submissions may be written in either Chinese or English. Papers should be academically or practically valuable, with clear arguments and substantial content.
- Abstract: A 300-word abstract in both Chinese and English is required for inclusion in the conference proceedings. Full papers should be limited to 5,000 characters (Chinese) or 3,000 words (English).
- Format: Please submit your paper in Word (.doc or .docx) format. Use Song font, size 10.5pt for Chinese, or Times New Roman, size 10.5pt for English, with 1.5 line spacing. The first page must include the paper title, author’s full name, affiliation, and contact information. Please properly cite all references.

- If your submission includes images, tables, or charts, please ensure they are clearly legible.
III. Important Dates:
- Submission Deadline: July 25, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance: July 30, 2025 (via email)
- Symposium Date: August 4, 2025
IV. Review and Publication:
All submitted papers will be reviewed by a panel of academic experts. Outstanding papers will be selected for oral presentation or poster display at the symposium. After the symposium, an electronic proceedings volume will be compiled by the organizers. Select high-quality papers may be recommended for publication in relevant academic journals. Submission of a paper implies the author’s consent to allow the organizers to use the content for non-commercial academic purposes.
